West Suburban Oral Health Care Offers Various Types Of Orthodontic Treatment
At West Suburban Oral Health Care in Naperville, Illinois, we provide a wide selection of services to improve the smile. This also includes orthodontic treatment. We are excited to offer teeth straightening services with an alternative to braces: Invisalign.
How does Invisalign work?
Drs. Susan Mazzei, Kelsey Esposito, and Ashley Nguyen educate patients on the benefits of these clear teeth aligners, sometimes referred to as “clear braces.” The orthodontic aligners used in Invisalign treatment consist of a series of custom-made, clear plastic aligners that fit over your teeth to straighten them. The aligner is commonly changed about every week as the patient’s teeth move into place.
The entire Invisalign treatment usually takes around five to nine months, and patients can immediately return to their regular activities. That includes brushing and flossing their teeth without discomfort or irritation due to the invisible braces.
What are the advantages of Invisalign?
- Invisible – Clear braces are less noticeable than metal brackets and wires and, therefore, more discreet, allowing you to smile confidently throughout your orthodontic experience.
- Comfortable – Comfort is an essential factor in improving your oral health because when the trays fit comfortably, patients comply with treatment. Proper treatment and care of the smile during this time reduce the risk of dental decay and gum disease. Invisible braces can significantly reduce your daily discomfort because there is no direct contact with the lips or gums.
- Convenient – The clear aligners are removable for eating, brushing, flossing, and other day-to-day activities. They also help protect your investment in beautiful teeth since you will have no metal wires or brackets to stain or damage your teeth during treatment.
- Affordable – Clear braces may cost slightly more than traditional metal braces but are still affordable for most budgets compared to many other orthodontic treatments available today.
